So, confused, I finally tried to resize the D:mac file. Seeing as that didn't allow me to add space to the BOOTCAMP partition, I ended up shrinking the EFI file and creating a new partition file I labelled "EXT" out of the space that I took from that (it was somewhere around +300MB to begin with, then I shrunk it to 200MB as not all of it was being used, and merged the BOOTCAMP with the new partition file "EXT" to try and expand the file size) I merged the BOOTCAMP partition with the newly made partition "EXT" I took from the EFI file, and when I applied changes I noticed there weren't any space changes to the Bootcamp file-when I checked the usage in the file explorer, it still appeared red as there wasn't much space available. I think it just ended up deleting that space, not sure where it went or what was in there. Unfortunately I don't have any screenshots to help my description but hopefully I'll provide enough detail.basically, I thought I could delete the "other" random files to free up space and resize the BOOTCAMP partition-apparently that didn't work. D: (I don't remember if the file system changed after I messed around with it, but I renamed it and did some resizing and such and now it's "D:mac(NTFS)" )

Two random files, the file system was labeled "other" (Can't remember the original name of the files because I was in such a hurry to expand sizes.I later got rid of them)

So I tried using Minitools in Windows 10 to fix my partition sizes, and I did a bunch of fussing around.I had five files of partitions in Minitools when I started messing around:

I didn't know how to do that, as it seemed that partition sizes were made permanent after my first time changing it, but found Minitools and thought it'd be a quick fix. If someone could help me figure out where I went wrong and how I could fix this issue, that'd be great!īasically, I sized the bootcamp partition in OS to a size I thought would be fit when I had first installed bootcamp and was going through the partitioning process, but soon enough I found that I needed more. oh well, hope you can help me.Hi, so I messed something up with my mac and bootcamp.I really don't know what I'm doing, I'm not that tech savvy and don't have much knowledge about computers other than general stuff-installing bootcamp into my Mac in the first place was a challenge itself. P.S.: Sorry if i didn't explained myself quiet well.

Is there any way i can make to restore the Mac OS X? I've tried using the leopard dvd, but it doesn't work. When i press ALT it only appears the Windows partion. the boot disc couldn't use the leopard partion as my primary boot.

Today i went to Disc Utilitary (don't know if you say like this in english) and i erase the partion that have windows, and since the boot camp in MAC OS X isn't working. That i should made a backup copy and format it.Īhn! The Mac OS X wasn't my primary boot partion, so i had to configure it on the boot camp for windows, because (has i told before) the boot camp on Mac OS X (Leopard, by the way) wasn't working correctly. The boot camp told me that i couldn't restore or delete the new partion (The one that has Windows on it). I've recently installed Windows XP because i needed some software only Windows for my College. I've recently bought an Alluminium Macbook (the recent model), about two and half months ago. I came here to take some doubts, or at least i wil try to take them.
